2021 Blue and Gold Celebration

Posted on Feb 12 2021 - 6:29am

The Blue and Gold Celebration is held yearly during a pack meeting to commemorate the anniversary of scouting.  It traditionally includes a brief review of scout history, expressions of gratitude, a pot luck dinner, entertainment, and a small treat for the scouts.  Given the unique circumstances at play this year, we will be conducting our Blue and Gold Celebration Virtually.  We will use the theme, “Celebrating Our Talents.”

Pinewood Derby

Your Pack Leadership has been trying to figure out how to run the Derby yet keep everyone safe.  Here are our thoughts:

December Pack meeting:

Posted on Nov 29 2020 - 8:25am

As many of you know San Mateo county moved into the “Purple Tier” once again, which is changing our ability to meet in person.  As a result, our December pack meeting will be changing format to accommodate. There will no longer be a meeting on the 18th of December, but will instead transition to a service project for those in need.

Scouting for Food Drive

Posted on Nov 22 2020 - 7:05am

For almost 30 years, the Scouting for Food (SFF) program has been an important annual community service effort of the Scouts.  This year, we have made arrangements with the Catholic Worker Hospitality House—the charitable organization overseeing the food and homeless shelter operation at St Bruno's Catholic Church in San Bruno—for Pack 290 and Troops 72 and 4172 to conduct a food drive in early December for their benefit. And each participating Scout will be recognized with a nice patch and we’ll be glad to report how many pounds of food pack/ troop Scouts collectively donated as part of this year’s food drive!

Congratulations to our 2020 AOL recipients!
